Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 Mini Are Coming to Kubeez

ByteDance just laid out the next chapter of its video lineup, and two new Seedance models are heading to Kubeez. The headline is Seedance 2.5, a new flagship that generates a single unbroken shot up to 30 seconds long and conditions on as many as 50 references at once. Alongside it comes Seedance 2.0 Mini, a lightweight budget tier built for speed and volume. Neither is live on Kubeez yet, so here is what to expect and how to get ready.

Both models were announced in June 2026 by ByteDance, the team behind the Seedance line. Seedance 2.5 was unveiled at Volcano Engine 2026 and is in enterprise beta now, with a public launch targeted for early July 2026. Seedance 2.0 Mini is rolling out first through ByteDance's Dreamina (CapCut) platform, with a dedicated API coming soon. We are bringing both to Kubeez as they become available, so you will be able to generate with them here at launch.

To set expectations: today on Kubeez you can already generate with Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Fast, including Seedance 2.0 in native 4K. The two models in this post are the next step beyond that current family, not a rename of what you already have. Let's start with the flagship.

Seedance 2.5: a 30-second single shot, and 50 references in one generation

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's new top-tier video model, and it pushes on two limits that have defined AI video so far: how long a single shot can run, and how much context you can feed one generation.

The longest single shot in AI video so far

Most video models top out at a single continuous shot of roughly 5 to 15 seconds. Seedance 2.5 generates a native 30-second single shot: one unbroken take, no cuts, no stitching, no re-prompting to extend. ByteDance is positioning this as the longest single-shot duration of any model on the market.

That matters because stitching short clips together is where AI video usually falls apart. Characters drift, lighting jumps, the camera resets, and the seams show. A true 30-second take holds a character, a set, a lighting setup, and a camera move steady from the first frame to the last. For a full ad spot, an explainer beat, a product walk-through, or a narrative scene, that is the difference between a usable shot and a montage of near-misses.

Up to 50 multimodal references in a single generation

The second leap is context. Seedance 2.5 accepts up to 50 multimodal reference inputs in one generation, mixing images, video, and audio together. For comparison, today's Seedance 2 on Kubeez already takes up to 9 reference images, 3 reference videos, and 3 reference audio clips in a single shot. Seedance 2.5 raises that ceiling to as many as 50 combined inputs.

A pinboard of about fifty reference thumbnails, images, clips and audio waveforms, with lines converging into one finished cinematic output frame

Fifty references is enough to lock an entire production bible into one prompt: every angle of a character's face, a product from all sides, the exact location, a motion style pulled from real footage, a wardrobe, a color palette, and an audio mood, all conditioning the same shot. The more reference signal the model can hold, the less it has to guess, and the closer the output lands to the thing in your head.

4K output and region editing

Two more flagship features round it out:

A before and after of the same woman in a plaza, identical except her jacket changes from red to teal inside a dashed selection box, captioned edit one region keep the rest

Region editing is the antidote to the classic AI video frustration: you get a shot that is 95% perfect, and the only way to fix the one wrong detail is to regenerate and pray the other 95% survives. With targeted editing, you keep the take you love and fix only what is broken.

ByteDance has not disclosed Seedance 2.5 pricing yet, and we will not guess at it. When it lands on Kubeez, its credit cost will be shown live in the app and through the API, the same as every other model. You will always see the current rate on the pricing page and via the live model list before you generate.

Seedance 2.0 Mini: the budget tier for high-volume work

Not every job needs the flagship. Most content pipelines are full of drafts, mockups, social cutdowns, and rapid iteration, work where you need a good-enough clip fast and cheap, dozens of times a day. That is exactly what Seedance 2.0 Mini is built for.

A creator iterating fast at a desk: a monitor shows a contact sheet of quick sneaker draft clips with a stopwatch, captioned fast drafts high volume, a real sneaker and phone on the desk

Mini is ByteDance's new lightweight member of the Seedance 2.0 family, sitting below the Standard and Fast tiers. ByteDance's own framing for it:

It supports the modes that matter for everyday production: text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-based generation. Output runs 720p to 1080p, with durations of 5 to 12 seconds and aspect ratios covering 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, and 3:4, so you are covered for landscape, vertical, and square in one model.

Mini rolls out first through ByteDance's Dreamina (CapCut) platform, with a dedicated API coming soon. As with Seedance 2.5, Mini's Kubeez pricing will be shown live at launch rather than promised here in advance.

Mini is not the same as Seedance 2 Fast

This is worth being precise about, because the names invite confusion. Kubeez already offers Seedance 2 Fast, a faster, cheaper tier of the current Seedance 2 model. Seedance 2.0 Mini is a separate, even lighter tier that ByteDance introduced specifically for high-volume, budget-sensitive work. Think of it as a new rung below Fast: built for the drafts and the bulk runs, not as a replacement for your top-quality master. When both are on Kubeez, you will pick the rung that fits the job.

Which one should you reach for?

One post, two models, two very different jobs. Here is the short version, using the current Seedance 2 family on Kubeez as the reference point you already know.

Job Reach for
Hero shot, client master, a long unbroken scene, heavy reference control, 4K Seedance 2.5 (flagship, coming soon)
Drafts, social cutdowns, mockups, rapid iteration, high volume on a budget Seedance 2.0 Mini (budget tier, coming soon)
Best output available on Kubeez right now, incl. native 4K Seedance 2 / Seedance 2.0 4K (live today)
Fast, cheap iteration available on Kubeez right now Seedance 2 Fast (live today)

The mental model is simple. Seedance 2.5 is for the shot that has to be right: long, controlled, high-resolution, editable. Seedance 2.0 Mini is for the shots you need a lot of, fast, before you commit credits to the hero. A healthy pipeline uses both: rough everything out on the cheap tier, then render the keeper on the flagship.

How to get ready on Kubeez

You cannot generate with Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 2.0 Mini on Kubeez yet, they are coming soon, but you can get your workflow in shape now:

  1. Start with the Seedance 2 family that is already live. Build your prompting and reference habits on Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Fast today. The skills transfer directly to the new models.
  2. Get your references organized. Seedance 2.5's 50-reference ceiling rewards anyone who has a tidy library of character shots, product angles, location plates, and audio. Start collecting now.
  3. Wire up the API or MCP. If you generate at scale, connect the Kubeez MCP and API so you can drop the new model IDs in the moment they go live. Always read pricing from the live model list rather than hardcoding it, since rates are credit-based and can change.

When Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 Mini arrive, they will show up in the same video generation studio you already use, with their live credit cost shown before you generate.

FAQ

When are Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 Mini coming to Kubeez?

Both are upcoming. ByteDance is targeting an early-July 2026 public launch for Seedance 2.5 (it is in enterprise beta now), and Seedance 2.0 Mini is rolling out first via Dreamina with a dedicated API coming soon. Kubeez will add both as they become publicly available so you can generate with them here at launch.

What is the longest shot Seedance 2.5 can generate?

A native 30-second single shot: one continuous take with no cuts or stitching. ByteDance positions this as the longest single-shot duration of any current video model.

How many references can Seedance 2.5 use at once?

Up to 50 multimodal reference inputs in a single generation, mixing images, video, and audio. For context, the Seedance 2 model on Kubeez today already accepts 9 images plus 3 videos plus 3 audio clips per generation.

Is Seedance 2.0 Mini the same thing as Seedance 2 Fast?

No. Seedance 2 Fast is the existing faster, cheaper tier of the current Seedance 2 model on Kubeez. Seedance 2.0 Mini is a separate, even lighter tier from ByteDance, built for high-volume, budget-sensitive work like drafts and social clips. It is a new rung below Fast, not a rename of it.

What can Seedance 2.0 Mini do?

Text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-based generation, at 720p to 1080p, durations of 5 to 12 seconds, and aspect ratios of 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, and 3:4. ByteDance frames it as roughly twice as fast as Seedance 2.0 Fast and about half the cost of standard Seedance 2.0.

How much will they cost on Kubeez?

ByteDance has not disclosed final pricing, and Kubeez pricing is set at launch. When each model goes live, its credit cost will be shown in the app and through the API before you generate. Check the pricing page and the live model list for current rates.

Can I use Seedance 2.5 or Mini today?

Not yet on Kubeez. In the meantime, you can generate with the live Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Fast models, including native 4K on Seedance 2.0.
